Job summary

Australian Unity in Orange, NSW seeks carers to support elderly clients at home. The role covers domestic tasks, personal care, and occasional transportation support, with a focus on friendly, compassionate interaction.

Open to Domestic Assistance and Personal Care Workers. Permanent part-time or casual contracts, 20–40 hours per fortnight, with flex hours and paid training. Travel for training is required, including some weekends.

Qualifications

• Live in the Orange area and surrounding suburbs.
• Have a current Australian Driver's Licence with your own car.
• Available to work 6 hours daily on weekdays and one weekend in four.
• Commitment to Brilliant @ Basics Training with travel for training.

Responsibilities

• Provide domestic assistance such as cleaning, laundry and meal prep.
• Provide personal care and support including transportation for clients.

• Available towork a minimum of 6 hours a day between 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday availability and 1 weekend in 4.
• Commitmentto our paid2-week Brilliant @ Basics Trainingwhen you start! (Get ready to learn, grow & be supported!) Travel is required for training.

What this role offers:

• Open toDomestic Assistance and Personal Care Workers candidates
• Permanent Part-Time or Casual Contracts
• Permanent Contract hours: 20-40 hours perfortnight+ flex up hours.
• Hourly Rate: $34.80 - $36.59 per hour + 12% super + $0.92/km allowance + paid travel time

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Entry-Level Carers: Provide domestic assistance, such as cleaning, vacuuming, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Experienced Carers: Provide personal care services including showering, toileting, assistance with medications, as well as domestic duties & social supports such as assisting with transportation for clients.
• Most importantly:be a friendly face & brighten someone\'s day!
