Job summary

Estia Health in Mount Isa is seeking a compassionate care assistant to support residents with daily life, meals, mobility and social activities, ensuring they feel heard, comfortable and valued.

You will work as part of a supportive team, apply a Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, and rely on solid documentation and computer skills to maintain privacy, dignity and high‑quality care.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care required.
• Solid clinical documentation and computer skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Genuine desire to make a difference in residents’ lives.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily life, meals, mobility and social activities.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living while maintaining dignity.
• Monitor residents’ health and assist with treatments as required.
• Provide companionship and be a respectful, friendly presence for residents.
• Maintain residents’ privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Attend to documentation and care planning with accuracy.
