Job summary

Mareeba Aged Care in Tongala, VIC is seeking Casual Personal Care Assistants to join our supportive team and provide compassionate care to residents. Availability across all shifts is essential to ensure continuity of care and a positive experience for residents.

Qualifications

• Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
• NDIS check (or ability to acquire).
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in residential aged care.
• To be considered for employment, satisfy Aged Care Worker Screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to assist residents to maintain independence and dignity with respect to activities of daily living and lifestyle.
• Attend to meal delivery and refreshments as required.
• Record observations on relevant assessment charts and documents any observed exceptions to the care plan in the progress notes; and report such to the EN/RN.
• Check residents daily menu requirements.
• Attend to duties as allocated and/or delegated by the RN/EN, including general ward duties.
• Any other task not defined but within the employees skills, as directed by the organisation.
