About the Role

The Personal Care Assistant is responsible for providing high quality care services to our residents, ensuring personal needs are met in accordance with the residents needs and choices and according to their care plan.

Our Personal Care Assistants will also be responsible for:

• Providing a high standard of care and service to our residents to enrich their quality of life.
• Assisting and supporting residents to maintain Activities of Daily Living
• Accurately and promptly reporting any alterations observed in residents’ health or well-being to the Registered Nurse/Enrolled Nurse or Clinical Care Coordinator, and documenting in relevant charts or forms as per instructions.
• Recording relevant resident information in relevant charts or forms in a timely manner.
• Ensure the social, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and recreational needs of residents are met as per their preferences and their care plan.
• Ensuring a high standard of customer service including, presenting in a professional manner when interacting with residents, resident representatives, and team members

About you:

• Minimum 12 Months experience in aged care
• Experience running Activities (Book Club, Crafts etc.)
• Ability to engage with residence and provide on going support
• Interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated Flexibility and ability to provide holistic care
• Resident and customer focused with a commitment to ensuring resident needs are always met by being available and reliable for all rostered shifts.
• Commitment to work various shift hours, and flexibility to pick up additional hours where needed.
• Availability to work morning shifts.

The successful applicant will be required to have the following:

• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care (or equivalent)
• Willingness to obtain valid Police Check
• Australian/New Zealand residency or a valid working visa
