Job summary

Respect Group Limited in regional New South Wales is seeking compassionate Casual Personal Care Assistants to join a rural aged care home. You will deliver person-centred care, assisting with daily living activities and supporting residents and their families.

You should have a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent, with strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Genuine passion for caring for older people.
• Ability to work across variety of shifts.
• Current National Police Check and relevant vaccinations (or willingness to obtain).
• NDIS Worker check (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including assistance with showering, dressing and grooming.
• Support residents with mobility and safe manual handling.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and daily living activities.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ health and wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with nurses and the wider care team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans.

About the Role

We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Casual Personal Care Assistants to join our team in a supportive rural aged care home. You will play a vital role in delivering person-centred care and enhancing the daily lives of our residents.

No two days are the same! As Personal Care Assistant, you will:

• Provide personal care including assistance with showering, dressing and grooming
• Support residents with mobility and safe manual handling
• Assist with meals, hydration, and daily living activities
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families
• Observe and report changes in residents’ health and wellbeing
• Work collaboratively with nurses and the wider care team
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans

About You:

You’ll thrive with us if you have:

• Previous experience in aged care or a similar role (desirable)
• A genuine passion for caring for older people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Current National Police Check and relevant vaccinations (or willingness to obtain)
• Current NDIS WC (or willingness to obtain)
