Job summary

Respect, the largest provider of aged care services in Regional Australia, is seeking compassionate Casual Personal Care Assistants to join our rural aged care home. You will deliver person-centred care and support daily living activities for residents.

Role involves assisting with showering, dressing, mobility and meals, while building meaningful relationships with residents and families. Training, salary packaging options, and a supportive onsite leadership team are provided.

About the Role

We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Casual Personal Care Assistants to join our team in a supportive rural aged care home. You will play a vital role in delivering person-centred care and enhancing the daily lives of our residents.

No two days are the same! As Personal Care Assistant, you will:

• Provide personal care including assistance with showering, dressing and grooming
• Support residents with mobility and safe manual handling
• Assist with meals, hydration, and daily living activities
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families
• Observe and report changes in residents’ health and wellbeing
• Work collaboratively with nurses and the wider care team
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans

About You:

You’ll thrive with us if you have:

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent
• Previous experience in aged care or a similar role (desirable)
• A genuine passion for caring for older people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive, team-focused attitude
• Ability to work across a variety of shifts
• Understanding of person-centred care
• Current National Police Check and relevant vaccinations (or willingness to obtain)
• Current NDIS WC (or willingness to obtain)
