Job summary

Respect is seeking compassionate and dedicated Casual Personal Care Assistants to join our rural aged care home in Regional Australia. You will deliver person-centred care, support daily living activities, and help residents maintain dignity and comfort.

You will work with nurses and care teams, observe changes, document care plans, and build meaningful relationships with residents and families. Certificate III or IV in Individual Support is preferred, with current police check and vaccinations.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent.
• Current National Police Check and relevant vaccinations (or willingness to obtain).
• NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including assistance with showering, dressing and grooming.
• Support residents with mobility and safe manual handling.
• Assist with meals, hydration and daily living activities.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ health and wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with nurses and the wider care team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans.

About the Role

We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Casual Personal Care Assistants to join our team in a supportive rural aged care home. You will play a vital role in delivering person-centred care and enhancing the daily lives of our residents.

No two days are the same! As Personal Care Assistant, you will:

• Provide personal care including assistance with showering, dressing and grooming
• Support residents with mobility and safe manual handling
• Assist with meals, hydration, and daily living activities
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families
• Observe and report changes in residents’ health and wellbeing
• Work collaboratively with nurses and the wider care team
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans

About You:

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent
• Previous experience in aged care or a similar role (desirable)
• A genuine passion for caring for older people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive, team-focused attitude
• Ability to work across a variety of shifts
• Understanding of person-centred care
• Current National Police Check and relevant vaccinations (or willingness to obtain)
• Current NDIS WC (or willingness to obtain)
