Job summary

McKinnel Associates in Western Sydney is seeking a Pre-Construction & Client Coordinator for custom homes. You will own the client journey from tender through to handover, coordinating permits, approvals and documentation while supporting the construction team.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong communication and project coordination across multiple projects. You will work closely with senior management and sales, ensuring a seamless client experience and timely updates throughout the

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in residential pre-construction.
  • Strong knowledge of permits, approvals, council requirements and the NSW pre-construction process.
  • Ability to read residential plans and understand the construction process.
  • Exceptional customer service and face-to-face client management skills.
  • Proactive, organized and comfortable taking ownership of the client journey.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the client journey from signed tender through to handover and warranty
  • Coordinate permits, approvals, council and certifier requirements and essential building documentation
  • Manage project milestones and ensure outstanding information is followed up
  • Meet clients face-to-face at head office and provide proactive updates throughout their build
  • Assist with selections and client variations where required
  • Liaise closely with Sales, Estimating, Drafting and Construction teams
  • Coordinate handover and assist with warranty and maintenance requirements
  • Maintain accurate project information and ensure clients receive a seamless experience throughout

Our client is an established and growing residential builder specialising in custom homes and more complex residential projects. Supported by a highly experienced and growth-focused leadership team with a clear vision for the future, the business is entering an exciting new phase of expansion.

With a strong pipeline of work and a genuine focus on customer experience, they are looking for an experienced residential pre-construction professional who enjoys taking ownership of both projects and clients.

The Role

If you have a minimum of 5 years' pre-construction experience in residential home building and enjoy managing multiple projects while building strong relationships with clients, this could be a great next step.

You will become the key point of contact for clients from signed tender, managing them through pre-construction and approvals, staying connected throughout construction and supporting them through handover and warranty.

  • Strong administration, coordination and problem-solving ability
  • Confident managing multiple projects and competing deadlines
  • Proactive, organised and comfortable taking ownership of the client journey
  • Experience within custom residential building will be highly regarded
