Job summary

Blue Marble Health Services on the Gold Coast/Brisbane area is seeking a caring Disability Support Worker for permanent part-time roles in Supported Independent Living and community settings. You will work across a rotating roster to support independence and wellbeing.

Responsibilities include personal care, meal prep, medication administration, daily tasks, and community participation, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Cert III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or a related qualification.
• Experience in SIL, disability, or youth support environments is desirable but training is provided.
• Compassionate, calm, and reliable with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Permanent Part-Time Disability Support Opportunities Available

We’re currently looking for caring, professional, and reliable Disability Support Workers to provide support in Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes and in the community across the Gold Coast and Brisbane.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Providing day-to-day support in SIL environments, including personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, and medication administration
• Supporting clients to achieve their goals and increase their independence
• Building trusted relationships and providing emotional support and companionship
• Assisting with community participation through social outings, appointments, and recreational activities
• Working collaboratively with families, allied health professionals, and other support staff
• Following behaviour support plans and promoting positive behaviour strategies

About You:

• Cert III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or a related qualification
• Candidates currently enrolled in the required qualifications are welcome to apply
• Experience working in SIL, disability, or youth support environments (desirable but not essential, as training is provided)
• Compassionate, calm, and reliable, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to support individuals with disability (including children and youth) is highly regarded
• Permanent part-time positions with a rotating roster, including weekdays, weekends, public holidays and sleepover shifts (where applicable). Applicants must be available to work a variety of shifts as part of a recurring roster pattern
• Current Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid and CPR, and a valid QLD driver's licence
• Some clearances may be pending at the time of application
• Entitlement to work in Australia
