Job summary

Blue Marble Health Services on the Gold Coast/Brisbane area is seeking a caring Disability Support Worker for permanent part-time roles in Supported Independent Living and community settings. You will work across a rotating roster to support independence and wellbeing.

Responsibilities include personal care, meal prep, medication administration, daily tasks, and community participation, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Cert III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or a related qualification.
• Experience in SIL, disability, or youth support environments is desirable but training is provided.
• Compassionate, calm, and reliable with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support in SIL environments including personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, and medication administration.
• Support clients to achieve goals and increase independence.
• Build trusting relationships and provide emotional support and companionship.
• Assist with community participation through social outings, appointments, and recreational activities.
• Work collaboratively with families, allied health professionals, and other support staff.
• Follow behaviour support plans and promote positive behaviour strategies.
