Job summary

Cater Care is looking for a qualified and motivated Chef to join Shore School in North Sydney. This is a stable Monday to Friday role, working 40 hours per week with a consistent roster from 11:00am to 7:30pm.

In this busy education kitchen you will prepare and cook meals to a high standard, handle bulk production, follow recipes and food safety procedures, and support the kitchen team to deliver reliable service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commercial or high-volume kitchen.
• Experience with bulk cooking and food preparation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene.
• A current Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain one.

About the Role

Working within a busy education environment, you will be responsible for preparing and producing quality meals while supporting the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and cooking meals to a high standard
• High-volume and bulk food production
• Working independently and managing daily kitchen requirements
• Following recipes, menus and portion requirements
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
• Supporting the kitchen team to deliver efficient service

About You

We're looking for someone who is reliable, organised and passionate about food, with the ability to

work confidently in a busy kitchen environment.

You will ideally have:
