Job summary

Cater Care is seeking a qualified Chef for Shore School in North Sydney. The role offers a stable Monday-to-Friday schedule from 11:00am to 7:30pm, totaling 40 hours per week.

The successful candidate will work in a busy education setting, preparing meals and supporting daily kitchen operations. Ideal applicants will have prior experience in a commercial or high-volume kitchen, strong food safety knowledge, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial or high-volume kitchen.
• Experience with bulk cooking and food preparation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals to a high standard.
• High-volume and bulk food production.
• Work independently and manage daily kitchen requirements.
• Follow recipes, menus and portion requirements.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Support the kitchen team to deliver efficient service.
• Ensure all food is prepared and handled in accordance with food safety requirements.
