Job summary

Apiam Animal Health is on the lookout for an HR Coordinator to be the go‑to person for our people, based in South Melbourne. The role covers onboarding, data accuracy, and lifecycle HR support, with focus on automation and AI-assisted self-service. You’ll work alongside HR Business Partners, Payroll, IT and veterinary teams to deliver efficient processes.

You’ll report to the Head of HR and help drive data quality, policy administration and responsive HR service delivery across the organisation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in HR administration, HR coordination or HRIS administration.
• Experience managing a high volume of HR enquiries or a ticketing system.
• Hands-on experience with BambooHR or a similar HRIS; BambooHR implementation experience valued.
• Knowledge of payroll compliance, awards and employment legislation.
• Experience with SharePoint or similar platforms and curiosity about AI-assisted HR tools.
• A tertiary qualification in HR, business, information systems or related field, or working towards one.
• Genuine interest in other parts of people operations.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for employee and manager HR enquiries, managing the HR inbox and ticketing system.
• Process HR transactions across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, contract variations and changes.
• Support payroll and compliance teams with accurate employee data, changes and documentation.
• Maintain BambooHR, including user access, workflows, forms and reporting, and its integration with NetSuite.
• Manage the HR SharePoint site, knowledge centre and policy library, keeping HR policies current.
• Identify and implement automation of routine HR processes and develop AI-assisted self-service for managers and employees.
• Support audit readiness and produce regular HR reporting.
• Build knowledge across the wider people function, supporting talent acquisition and WHS as needed.
