The role covers onboarding, performance management, safety, training and Aboriginal employment initiatives, with opportunities to shape HR systems and processes across the not-for-profit sector.

Qualifications

• Experience in generalist human resources, workforce coordination or a similar role.
• Sound understanding of HR practices, employment conditions and workplace processes.
• Experience supporting recruitment, employee development and performance management.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety principles and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment & onboarding coordination to help new employees succeed from day one.
• Provide practical HR support to employees and managers, resolving workplace matters.
• Coordinate probation reviews, performance development processes and support managers on performance concerns.
• Support workplace safety initiatives, risk management and incident reporting.
• Coordinate employee training and professional development initiatives.
• Support Aboriginal employment initiatives and leadership pathways.
• Maintain employee records and HR systems to ensure compliance with employment legislation.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen communication.
