Job summary

OneCare is seeking a People & Culture Officer to join our Rubicon Grove team in Port Sorell. This site-based, part-time role involves a broad HR remit, from recruitment to employee welfare, with a focus on supporting staff and managers in a busy aged-care setting.

You will collaborate with a small dispersed team, handling recruitment, inductions, conditions changes, events, workers’ compensation, and staff wellbeing. A proactive, people-centered approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2+ years experience in HR/People & Culture role.
• Qualifications in Human Resources or relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Triage HR issues and be the first point of contact.
• Support recruitment processes from job adverts to interviews and onboarding.
• Oversee end-to-end employee lifecycle and welfare matters.
• Attend Workplace Safety Committee meetings.
• Organise on-site events and staff recognition activities.
• Manage Parental Leave processes for precinct staff.
• Provide on-site support for workplace injuries and return-to-work coordination.
• Assist Precinct Managers with welfare and absenteeism reporting.
