Job summary

The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia is seeking a People and Culture Officer in Surry Hills, NSW. This permanent part-time role is 2.5 days per week (0.5 FTE) and focuses on day-to-day People & Culture administration across the employee lifecycle.

Responsibilities include preparing employment contracts, maintaining HR records, and supporting recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, as well as updating HR policies and WHS initiatives.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in People & Culture
• Experience handling confidential information with discretion
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience in health/government/education settings
• Strong time management and prioritisation
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Commitment to EEO, ethics, diversity and WHS

Responsibilities

• Prepare employment contracts and related documentation.
• Maintain employee records in HRIS.
• Proofread and update HR policies and guidelines.
• Respond to operational employee inquiries.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and offboarding.
• Keep the People and Culture SharePoint updated.
• Support WHS, wellbeing and events.
• Perform other duties as directed.
