Job summary

University of New South Wales (UNSW) is seeking two People Advisors to support leaders and staff across a broad range of people matters. You’ll provide advisory services on workplace relations, policies, and employee lifecycle matters in a hybrid working environment.

These roles report to the Senior People Partner and are part of the People & Culture team embedded within a Faculty or Division. You’ll collaborate with People Partners to deliver HR solutions and contribute to local people plans

Qualifications

• Experience providing people-focused advice in a complex organisation.
• Ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills with diverse audiences.
• Experience handling case management (performance concerns, workplace issues).
• Analytical skills to use data and insights for advice and improvements.
• Ability to share knowledge and uplift capability within the team.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and collaborate to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with People Partners to deliver HR solutions and support workforce initiatives.
• Provide informed employee lifecycle guidance to enable decision-making.
• Apply P&C policies to ensure consistent practices and risk management.
• Deliver workforce reporting and present insights to leaders.
• Support escalation handling and coach junior team members.
