Job summary

UTS College Limited is seeking a People Advisor to deliver comprehensive HR services across the college on a fixed term contract to September 2027. The role balances strategic thinking with operational excellence and focuses on partnerships with leaders and employees to improve workforce effectiveness and compliance.

You will manage end-to-end recruitment, maintain HR systems, and provide timely, practical advice on employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a HR Generalist, People Advisor or People Operations role.
  • Strong knowledge of employee lifecycle processes and HR best practice.
  • Experience providing advice on employee relations, performance management and workplace matters.
  • End-to-end recruitment experience, ideally including experience with PageUp.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Passion in working to enhance the overall working environment and experience for employees.

Responsibilities

  • Build trusted partnerships with leaders and employees across your portfolio.
  • Provide practical, timely and solution-focused advice on employee relations, performance management, workplace issues and policy interpretation.
  • Partner with leaders to identify and address people-related risks, opportunities and capability needs.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of People initiatives that enhance engagement, wellbeing and organisational performance.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for your designated client group.
  • Act as a key subject matter expert for our recruitment platform, PageUp.
  • Maintain HR systems, employee records, templates and documentation.
  • Monitor employment compliance requirements including visas, Working with Children Checks, Police Checks and qualifications.
  • Produce workforce reports and data insights to support informed decision-making.
  • Support People team projects, wellbeing initiatives and continuous improvement activities.

We currently have the opportunity for a People Advisor to join the team on a fixed term contract until September 2027. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with operational excellence.

You will deliver People services across the College through the effective administration of HR processes, systems, and programmes, while acting as a trusted advisor to a designated portfolio. The role builds productive partnerships with leaders and employees to provide responsive, customer-focused advice and contributes to workforce effectiveness, engagement, and compliance.

About You

To succeed in this role you must have:

  • Experience in a HR Generalist, People Advisor or People Operations role
