Job summary

Lives Lived Well in Rockhampton is seeking a Peer Navigator to draw on lived experience to support people on their recovery journey in a respectful, professional manner.

You will work with clinicians and support staff, provide encouragement, advocacy and practical help, and contribute to a recovery‑oriented service culture. This part‑time role offers 30.4 hours weekly, salary $64,016–$68,638 plus super and wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• Lived experience of alcohol and other drug recovery.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong personal boundaries and self-awareness.
• A current Australian Driver Licence.
• A current Blue Card (or the ability to obtain).
• Working rights in Australia.
• Ability to obtain National Criminal History Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one peer support and encouragement.
• Build genuine, trusting relationships with clients.
• Support people to identify strengths and work towards their recovery goals.
• Share lived experience appropriately to promote hope, resilience and recovery.
• Assist with facilitating group programs and recovery-focused activities.
• Advocate for clients and help amplify their voices.
• Support engagement with treatment services, recovery supports and community connections.
• Work collaboratively with clinical and residential team members.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive and recovery-oriented culture.
