Job summary

Peabody Energy, Centurion Mine seeks an experienced PCS Engineer to lead plant control systems. You will develop and implement PCS standards, support safe and reliable operations, and drive improvements in control hardware and software.

You will collaborate with electrical, maintenance, operations and engineering teams to sustain production today and build long-term capabilities. You will troubleshoot complex PCS issues, program Citect SCADA and Allen-Bradley systems, and ensure changes follow

Qualifications

• Electrical/controls/automation engineering background.
• Experience developing and implementing PCS standards.
• Strong change management and control framework experience.
• Industrial automation experience with PLC/SCADA platforms.
• Diagnosing and resolving complex control system issues.
• Ability to work autonomously with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain PCS standards across Centurion Mine.
• Install, program, maintain, and troubleshoot Citect SCADA systems.
• Program and maintain Allen-Bradley control equipment with Rockwell software.
• Support and optimise industrial networks (Ethernet, ControlNet, Modbus).
• Diagnose PCS faults and implement reliability improvements.
• Contribute to short- and long-term plant performance strategies.
• Apply change control processes to PCS modifications.
• Identify risks and escalate production-impacting issues.
• Supervise contractors and Centurion personnel on PCS tasks.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance and site leadership.
