Job summary

Peabody Energy, through its Centurion mine operations, seeks an onsite Conveyor Engineer to provide technical leadership and engineering support for conveyor and bulk materials handling systems across mining operations. The role focuses on safe, reliable, and efficient asset performance to back production objectives and long-term performance.

Qualifications

• Experience with conveyor systems and bulk materials handling.
• Proven ability to drive reliability improvements across site assets.
• Ability to perform root cause analyses and implement engineering improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering support for conveyor and bulk materials handling systems.
• Drive reliability improvement initiatives that enhance equipment performance and availability.
• Identify asset risks and develop engineering solutions to improve safety and operational outcomes.
• Support maintenance strategies, defect elimination and continuous improvement programs.
• Conduct engineering investigations, root cause analyses and failure reviews.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to optimise conveyor system performance.
• Manage engineering projects and modifications from concept through to implementation.
