Job summary

Mivada Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to deliver accurate end-to-end payroll and support payroll transformation projects. Based in Barangaroo with a hybrid setup, the role also supports data management, system upgrades, governance, and client liaison, with opportunities to contribute to PaaS engagements and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in payroll processing, payroll operations, or payroll systems roles.
• End-to-end payroll delivery for Australian and NZ organisations.
• Experience supporting payroll system implementations, migrations, upgrades, or transformation initiatives.
• Strong business analysis: requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, testing support.
• Demonstrated ability to manage payroll reconciliations, compliance activities, and issue resolution.
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication.
• Solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards, taxation, and payroll best practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate end-to-end payroll processing across multiple payroll cycles.
• Manage payroll data, employee changes, reconciliations, and compliance requirements.
• Support payroll system implementations, upgrades, and optimisation initiatives.
• Assist with data migration, integrations, testing, and issue resolution.
• Gather and document business requirements, processes, and workflows.
• Act as a key point of contact for client and stakeholder payroll queries.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and transformation.
• Support Payroll as a Service (PaaS) engagements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant payroll legislation, awards, and policies.
• Contribute to payroll reporting, audits, and operational excellence.
