Job summary

• 5+ years' experience in payroll processing, payroll operations, or payroll systems roles.
• End-to-end payroll delivery for Australian and NZ organisations.
• Experience supporting payroll system implementations, migrations, upgrades, or transformation initiatives.
• Strong business analysis: requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, testing support.
• Demonstrated ability to manage payroll reconciliations, compliance activities, and issue resolution.
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication.
• Solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards, taxation, and payroll best practices.

About The Role

We're building our talent pipeline for upcoming Payroll Specialist opportunities and would love to connect with experienced payroll professionals interested in joining Mivada as we continue to grow.

This is a hybrid role that combines hands‑on payroll processing with payroll systems, process improvement, and business analysis activities. Working closely with clients and internal stakeholders, you'll deliver accurate, compliant payroll services while supporting payroll transformation initiatives, process optimisation, and Payroll as a Service (PaaS) engagements. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys both operational payroll delivery and contributing to payroll change and improvement projects.

This role is based in our Head Office in Barangaroo, Sydney, with a hybrid working arrangement. We are also open to candidates based in Melbourne.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver accurate end-to-end payroll processing across multiple payroll cycles.

About You

• 5+ years' experience in payroll processing, payroll operations, or payroll systems roles.
• Proven experience delivering end-to-end payroll services for Australian and New Zealand organisations, with a strong focus on Australian payroll.
• Experience supporting payroll system implementations, migrations, upgrades, or transformation initiatives.
• Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, and testing support.
• Demonstrated ability to manage payroll reconciliations, compliance activities, and issue resolution.
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing experience, with the ability to build trusted relationships and communicate effectively across all levels.
• Solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards, taxation, and payroll best practices.
