Job summary

Mivada is seeking a Payroll Consultant / Senior Payroll Consultant to join our growing Workday practice in Australia. You will deliver payroll implementation projects, provide expert guidance on payroll processes and compliance, and help organisations realise the full value of their payroll solutions, with a strong focus on Australian payroll (about 80%).

Based in our Barangaroo head office or Melbourne, this role offers a hybrid working arrangement and opportunities to mentor junior consultants

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience in payroll systems implementations in Australia or New Zealand.
• Experience partnering closely with HR teams, with a strong understanding of HR processes and payroll operations.
• Strong knowledge of Australian or NZ payroll compliance requirements, including tax, superannuation, leave, garnishments, and reporting.
• Proficient in using HRIS/payroll systems for day-to-day activities such as data management, reporting, workflow administration, and payroll processing.

Responsibilities

• Configure and optimise Workday Payroll solutions to meet client requirements and business objectives.
• Lead payroll configuration, testing, and deployment activities across implementation projects.
• Manage integrations between Workday Payroll and external systems.
• Advise clients on Workday best practices and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Develop payroll reporting and ensure compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related system and process issues.
• Deliver end-user training, documentation, and post-go-live support.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
• Support governance, risk, security, and compliance requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and Mivada's growth objectives.

About The Role

We're seeking a Payroll Consultant / Senior Payroll Consultant to join our growing Workday practice. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong payroll expertise with a passion for delivering exceptional client outcomes and building their consulting career. Experience with Workday is highly regarded, but not essential. If you bring strong payroll implementation experience from another platform, we're committed to supporting your transition and providing the opportunity to become Workday certified.

In this role, you'll work alongside clients to deliver payroll implementation projects, provide expert guidance on payroll processes and compliance, and help organisations realise the full value of their payroll solutions. The role is primarily focused on Australian payroll (approximately 80%), with opportunities to support New Zealand payroll initiatives as part of a broader ANZ practice.

You’ll have the opportunity to broaden your skills, contribute to practice growth, and mentor junior consultants while working with some of Australia's leading organisations.

This role is based in our Barangaroo head office and offers a hybrid working arrangement. We are also open to candidates based in Melbourne.

What You Bring

Core Requirements

• Experience in payroll systems implementations in Australia or New Zealand
• Experience partnering closely with HR teams, with a strong understanding of HR processes and payroll operations

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a consulting environment.
