Job summary

Synergie Australia is seeking a Payroll Specialist for a trusted client in Milton, QLD. You will support a major payroll transformation initiative, collaborating with payroll, HR and business stakeholders to roll out new payroll systems and processes.

To succeed, you will bring proven experience in large multi-site payroll environments, strong knowledge of payroll operations, and hands-on experience with HRIS and payroll systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in a large multi-site payroll environment.
• Strong knowledge of payroll operations, legislation, compliance and governance.
• Experience supporting payroll projects, system implementations or transformations.
• Ability to interpret industrial instruments, awards and enterprise agreements.

Responsibilities

• Support the rollout, testing, and implementation of new payroll software.
• Assist with payroll data migration, validation, and go-live activities.
• Provide support across payroll project delivery and transformation initiatives.
• Review payroll processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Document standard operating procedures and standardise payroll workflows.
• Ensure compliance with industrial instruments, payroll legislation, and governance requirements.
• Analyse payroll data and support reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
• Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Act as a change champion, supporting adoption of new systems and processes.
