Job summary

Martian Logic is seeking a Payroll Specialist for an HRIS pre-sales consultant role in Australia. You will leverage payroll expertise in a client-facing capacity, explaining payroll and compliance concepts to HR and Finance decision-makers while guiding organisations through technology choices.

This permanent full-time role focuses on pre-sales demonstrations and building strong relationships with mid-market prospects, highlighting awards compliance, STP and screening capabilities.

Qualifications

• Solid payroll experience, ideally gained at a payroll provider, bureau, or software company.
• Confident explaining payroll and compliance concepts to HR and Finance decision-makers.
• Enjoyment of client-facing, consultative conversations.
• Interest in moving into SaaS/technology pre-sales.
• Understanding of Australian awards and Single Touch Payroll.

Responsibilities

• Bring your payroll knowledge into pre-sales conversations and product demonstrations.
• Translate complex payroll and compliance requirements into clear, compelling business cases.
• Position Martian Logic’s Australian compliance capabilities (awards, STP, screening) as a key differentiator.
• Partner closely with the sales team to progress opportunities.
• Contribute specialist insights to proposals and client presentations.
