Job summary

MacroHire is seeking a Payroll Officer who will manage end-to-end payroll, ensure accuracy of inputs, deductions, and statutory payments. The role also supports Accounts Payable and maintenance of employee records.

You will interpret Awards and Enterprise Agreements, handle time sheets, and liaise with staff to resolve payroll queries while meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience using payroll/HR systems and how they are utilized.
• Ability to interpret awards, enterprise agreements and contracts of employment.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and reconcile payroll end-to-end.
• Review allowances and wages input for accuracy.
• Prepare month-end payroll reports and related calculations.
• Remit statutory payments and respond to payroll queries from staff.
• Maintain payroll system records and time-sheets data entry.
• Assist with accounts payable processes and supplier reconciliations.
• Support end-of-month reconciliations and audit documentation.
