Job summary

Westgold Resources is seeking a Payroll Officer to join our Finance team on a 15-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will deliver accurate payroll services across the business and liaise with employees, HR and Finance teams to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Previous payroll or payroll administration experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of Australian payroll practices and legislation.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Process fortnightly and monthly payroll activities.
• Maintain employee payroll records and system data.
• Complete payroll reconciliations and reporting requirements.
• Assist with payroll tax, superannuation and statutory obligations.
• Respond to employee payroll enquiries.
• Support payroll compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide administrative support to the payroll function.
