Job summary

Goodman Fielder is seeking a Payroll Officer for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Sydney. You will deliver accurate end-to-end Australian payroll, handle changes and terminations, and resolve queries with a customer-first mindset.

You will perform audits and ensure compliance with payroll legislation, partnering with HR, Finance, IT and Payroll SMEs to optimise processes. SAP or Kronos experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' end-to-end payroll experience.
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience working within large or complex payroll environments.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication capabilities.
• A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Experience with SAP and/or UKG (Kronos) will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing across Australia.
• Process payroll changes, adjustments and termination payments.
• Resolve payroll queries with a customer-first mindset.
• Perform payroll audits, reconciliations and compliance checks.
• Ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation and company policies.
• Partner with HR, Finance, IT and Payroll SMEs to deliver seamless payroll services.
• Identify opportunities to improve, streamline and automate payroll processes.
• Support system enhancements and act as an escalation point for payroll issues.
