Sun Metals is seeking a capable Payroll Officer to join the HR team in Townsville. You will own end-to-end payroll processing for Townsville Logistics and Townsville Marine Logistics, with back-up duties for Sun Metals Corporation.

The role requires accuracy, timeliness and compliance with Australian payroll rules. You'll work across multiple payrolls, handle end-of-month processing, and collaborate with employees and managers to resolve queries while protecting confidential information.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in processing large, monthly and fortnightly payrolls.
• Ability to interpret Enterprise Agreements and Awards for accurate pay.
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll obligations (tax, superannuation, WorkCover).
• Proven ability to resolve payroll queries and maintain records.
• Experience with Employment Hero or KeyPay is preferred.

• Own end-to-end processing of high-volume payrolls for TL, TML, and back-up for SMC.
• Ensure on-time payments and correct entitlements.
• Resolve payroll queries with employees and managers.
• Maintain accurate records and protect confidentiality.
• Improve payroll systems, reporting, and controls.
