Job summary

Blackman Recruitment Pty Ltd. is partnering with a community-based Adelaide organisation to recruit a Payroll Officer. You will run end-to-end payrolls across multiple entities, provide payroll and leave advice, and support HRIS processes, reporting and compliance.

You’ll help improve payroll systems and processes while collaborating with HR and internal stakeholders. The role requires strong end-to-end payroll experience, knowledge of payroll legislation, and meticulous attention to detail,

Qualifications

• Strong end-to-end payroll experience.
• Knowledge of payroll legislation, awards and employment conditions.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Preceda or Dayforce Payroll experience is highly regarded, but not essential.
• Working with Children Check clearance is required prior to commencement.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate end-to-end payroll, including month-end, superannuation and year-end.
• Manage leave, long service leave, parental leave and other employee entitlements.
• Provide payroll and leave advice to employees and managers.
• Maintain accurate payroll and employee records.
• Interpret employment conditions, agreements and legislative requirements.
• Manage payroll reconciliations, reporting and compliance.
• Investigate and resolve payroll queries and discrepancies.
• Assist with HRIS data validation, audits and reporting.
• Support system testing, documentation and process improvements.
• Work collaboratively with HR and internal stakeholders on payroll-related projects.
