Job summary

Halcyon Knights Pty Ltd in Adelaide is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to lead end-to-end payroll for up to 460 staff on a full-time, eight-month contract in the Northern suburbs.

You will ensure timely processing, maintain records, interpret awards and legislation, manage superannuation, PAYG and payroll tax, and handle starters, terminations and leave entitlements, with strong stakeholder communication.

• Must have end-to-end payroll processing experience.
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance.

Immediate start for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to be based in the Northern suburbs for approximately 8 months working full time hours.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely processing for employees across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end payroll processing on a weekly/fortnightly basis for up to 460 staff.
• Maintaining employee payroll records and ensuring data integrity
• Interpreting relevant awards, agreements, and legislation
• Managing superannuation, PAYG, and payroll tax obligations
• Processing new starters, terminations, and leave entitlements
• Responding to payroll queries in a timely and professional manner
• Assisting with payroll reporting and audits as required
