Job summary

Our client in Perth is seeking an end-to-end payroll officer to join their team. The role covers the full payroll cycle, from data entry through to finalisation, with duties spanning time sheets, deductions, back payments, salary packaging and employee entitlements.

You will calculate termination payments, payroll projections and other employment costs, balance payroll accounts and complete monthly and annual reporting, while keeping records confidential and compliant with awards and agreements.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a complete payroll cycle in a medium or large workplace.
• Practical knowledge of Australian tax, superannuation and payroll compliance.
• Ability to apply modern awards and enterprise agreements accurately.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the fortnightly pay cycle from data entry through to finalisation.
• Check and process time sheets, deductions, back payments, salary packaging and employee entitlements.
• Calculate termination-related payments, payroll projections and other employment costs.
• Balance payroll accounts and complete scheduled monthly and annual reporting.
• Keep employee records and payroll data accurate, current and confidential.
• Apply relevant employment agreements, awards and legislative requirements when processing pay.
• Assist employees with payroll questions and explain calculations or changes clearly.
• Contribute to transactional finance tasks, including invoices, reimbursements, creditor payments and bank reconciliations.
