Job summary

NQCranes is seeking a Payroll & HR Support Officer to join our team in Mackay. You will handle end-to-end weekly payroll for 100+ employees and support HR activities including onboarding, recruitment, employee records management and performance coordination.

Reporting to the HR Manager, the role demands accuracy, confidentiality and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated end-to-end payroll processing experience.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience in HR administration, recruitment and employee lifecycle activities.
• Currently studying or completed HR/Business or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end processing of weekly payroll for 100+ employees.
• Monthly reporting including payroll tax and long service leave.
• Interpretation and application of awards, enterprise agreements and payroll legislation.
• Maintaining payroll compliance and confidentiality at all times.
• Coordinating employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Assisting with recruitment activities including drafting job advertisements, screening applications, scheduling interviews, reference checks.
• Coordinating staff performance review processes.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records.
