Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Payroll Officer to own the weekly payroll from start to finish and support the Finance Manager with a range of accounts and admin tasks. You should be organised, communicate well, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift with business needs.

We value a candidate with 2+ years in payroll, full-function payroll experience, and a qualification in administration, payroll, or accounting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in payroll or a similar role.
• Full-function payroll experience (general accounting experience is a bonus).
• A qualification in administration, payroll or accounting is preferred.
• Confident with payroll software and reporting systems including Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end weekly payroll processing.
• Handle HR administration, including new starter setup and payroll compliance checks.
• Support the Finance Manager with general accounts duties.
• Prepare ad‑hoc reports and maintain accurate records.
