GenesisCare is seeking a compassionate and professional Patient Services Officer (Medical Receptionist) to join our Central Adelaide teams on a full-time, 12-month contract. You will be the first point of contact for patients, delivering welcoming, high-quality administrative and reception services in a fast-paced cancer care environment.

You will work closely with clinical teams, manage appointments, handle referrals, and support billing processes while upholding patient privacy and delivering

Formación

• Previous experience in administration, reception, healthcare, or customer service roles.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for helping people.
• Caring, empathetic, and professional approach when interacting with patients and families.
• Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
• Confidence using computer systems and navigating multiple software platforms.

Responsabilidades

• Welcome patients, carers, and visitors with professionalism, empathy, and warmth.
• Manage patient appointments and clinic schedules.
• Respond to patient enquiries in person, over the phone, and via email.
• Receive and process referrals accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and maintain patient records and administrative documentation.
• Assist with billing activities, Medicare processing, fee estimates, and private health fund administration.
• Work closely with clinicians and multidisciplinary teams to support daily operations.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in line with healthcare standards.
• Provide flexible administrative support to meet operational requirements.
