Job summary

GenesisCare in Albury is seeking a Patient Services Officer (Medical Administration) to join our busy clinic on a permanent full-time basis. You will be the first point of contact, ensuring a welcoming and supportive experience for patients as they arrive and throughout their journey.

You will support the clinical team with appointments, patient records, billing and inquiries, balancing priorities in a busy environment while working confidently both independently and as part of a close-knit team.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for patient care and delivering great customer service.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
• Professional, calm and empathetic approach when supporting patients.
• Confident working independently while contributing to a close-knit team.
• Strong attention to detail and quick learning of new systems.
• Medical reception or Medicare billing experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative support to the radiation oncology clinical team.
• Book and manage patient appointments for consultations and treatment.
• Maintain accurate patient records across clinical and administrative systems.
• Assist with billing, receipting and payment processing.
• Respond to phone and email enquiries with professionalism and care.
• Help keep the clinic running smoothly by managing changing priorities and day-to-day administrative needs.

GenesisCare has an opportunity for a Patient Services Officer (Medical Administration) to join our supportive Albury clinic on a permanent full time basis. As one of the first points of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming, calm and supportive experience throughout their journey. You will work closely with our clinical team to help keep the clinic running smoothly and ensure patients feel supported from the moment they arrive. This is a busy and varied role where no two days are quite the same. You will be part of a close knit team, balancing patient support with a range of reception and administrative responsibilities. You do not need to come from a healthcare background to make an impact in this role. If you are organised, adaptable and passionate about helping people, we would love to hear from you.

More specifically, you will:
