Job summary

BaptistCare NSW & ACT is seeking a Pathways Team Leader to provide day-to-day leadership and hub oversight of a multidisciplinary team delivering integrated, person-centred support to people experiencing disadvantage, vulnerability and social marginalisation.

Working within Community Services & Housing, you will lead with BaptistCare’s values, supporting staff, students and volunteers to deliver high-quality outcomes for the communities we serve.

Qualifications

• Degree or postgrad qualifications in Community Development, Social Work or related field.
• Minimum of three years working in a Community Services environment and Community Development.
• Mental Health First Aid accreditation, Trauma Informed Care training (or willingness to participate in training).
• Ability to work within an integrated, person-centred approach including strengths-based, narrative.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and hub oversight to a multidisciplinary team delivering integrated, person-centred support.

• Monday to Friday split across the Hunter Hub’s 2 sites (Wallsend and Windale)

About You:

You’re a confident and compassionate leader with community services experience, strong people skills and a passion for supporting vulnerable communities. You bring sound judgement, a collaborative approach and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, community-based environment.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Degree or post grad qualifications in Community Development, Social work or related field
• Minimum of three (3) years working in a Community Services environment and Community Development
• Mental Health First Aid accreditation, Trauma Informed Care training (or willingness to participate in training)
• Ability to work within an integrated approach that is person centred and includes strengths base, narrative
• A current and valid Working with Children Check

• Strong leadership and management skills
