Job summary

Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology (SNP) is seeking Pathology Specimen Collectors to join our collection centres in the Coffs Harbour area. Shifts run Monday–Friday 7am–5pm withSaturday mornings 8am–12pm, offering hands-on patient care and a supportive team environment.

Ideal candidates have healthcare or customer service experience, a Certificate III in Pathology Specimen Collection, and the ability to work independently in solo centres. Training is provided, and a First Aid certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, aged care, community services or customer service.
• Confidence to work independently, including in solo collection centres.
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
• A willingness to learn.
• A current First Aid Certificate (or ability to obtain before end of Probation period).

• Provide outstanding patient care & customer service, answering questions and easing concerns
• Collect biological specimens (blood, urine, etc.) in a safe, professional manner
• Label, handle, and process samples in line with strict protocols
• Maintain a clean and organised collection environment

We are looking for the right people to work as Pathology Specimen Collectors in our Collection centres within the Coffs Harbour area, between the hours Monday-Friday varying shifts from 7am - 5pm with participation in Saturday morning roster 8:00am - 12pm.

Key Responsibilities

Provide outstanding patient care & customer service, answering questions and easing concerns

Collect biological specimens (blood, urine, etc.) in a safe, professional manner

Label, handle, and process samples in line with strict protocols

Maintain a clean and organised collection environment

Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient service

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

Experience in healthcare, aged care, community services or customer service. A Certificate III in Pathology Specimen Collection is highly regarded.

Confidence to work independently, including in solo collection centres

Strong time management and problem-solving skills

A willingness to learn and enjoy variety in your day

A current First Aid Certificate (or ability to obtain before end of Probation period)

Successful candidates will complete a comprehensive paid training program and receive an SNP training certificate on completion.
