Job summary

Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology (SNP) is seeking a dependable and motivated Courier in Townsville to support the secure transport of pathology specimens, reports and supplies. This part-time position runs Monday to Friday, 7:00am–6:30pm, with weekend roster inclusion.

You will deliver to surgeries, hospitals, and SNP collection centres, and handle specimen-related admin tasks. The ideal candidate has prior professional driving or courier experience and is comfortable delivering to multiple sites,

Qualifications

• Must hold an open driver’s licence for a minimum of five years with no infringements.
• Experience in a professional driving or courier role preferred.
• Willingness to be vaccinated against Hepatitis B.
• Reliable, detail-oriented and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Pick up pathology specimens and deliver medical reports and supplies to medical centres and SNP collection centres.
• Complete administrative tasks related to specimen handling during courier runs.
• Work autonomously and with a wider healthcare team; communicate effectively.
• Prioritise tasks, meet delivery timeframes and maintain accuracy and professionalism.

Job description

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Courier to support the timely and secure transportation of pathology specimens, reports, and supplies. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth operation of pathology services and supporting patient care outcomes.

This position is a part time working between Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 6:30pm, with inclusion in a weekend roster. The successful applicant will be reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a dedicated healthcare team.

Pick up pathology specimens and deliver medical reports and supplies to medical centres, hospitals, and Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology collection centres.

Complete administrative tasks related to specimen handling and management during courier runs.

Work autonomously while also collaborating closely with a wider team, including couriers, pathology specimen collectors, and laboratory staff.

Prioritise tasks effectively, adhere to scheduled delivery timeframes, and maintain a high standard of efficiency, accuracy, and professionalism at all times.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a professional driving or courier role and be comfortable with:

Delivering medical reports and supplies to surgeries and collection centres.

Learning and managing multiple courier runs

Working a variety of shifts, including participation in a rotating weekend roster.

Applicants must also:

Hold an open driver’s licence for a minimum of five years with no driving infringements.

Be willing to be vaccinated against Hepatitis B.
