Job summary

Petit Crenn Melbourne is seeking an experienced Pastry Chef for an exciting new opening in Australia, guided by a renowned Michelin-starred chef. The role requires early mornings and a passion for exquisite pastry craft within a boutique cafe and wine bar setting connected to InterContinental Melbourne the Rialto.

You’ll produce high-quality pastries and desserts, maintain strict standards, and collaborate with a talented team to deliver a standout guest experience in a dynamic opening kitchen.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience as a Pastry chef in high-end restaurants, patisseries or hotels.
• Strong viennoiserie and baking experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with guests and team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver sweet and savoury pastries, tarts, ice-cream bases, lamination, chocolate tempering and bakery goods.
• Food prep, baking in service and plating to standard.
• Work with front-of-house to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
• Monitor food safety and hygiene and control wastage and costs.
