Merivale’s The Whale Hotel in Narooma seeks an experienced Chef de Partie to join the pastry and breakfast team. You will oversee pastry production, desserts and basic chocolate work, ensuring high standards while guiding your section and collaborating with the Queen Chow Narooma kitchen.

This hands‑on role offers an opportunity to contribute to a busy hotel operation and deliver an exceptional guest experience in a coastal setting.

Qualificações

• Experience as Chef de Partie in pastry and breakfast service.
• Hands‑on role overseeing pastry preparation and basic chocolate work.
• Lead your section with precision, speed and pride during busy services.
• Collaborate with hotel kitchens and Queen Chow Narooma team.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare pastries and desserts to a consistently high standard.
• Carry out basic chocolate work with care and attention to detail.
• Lead your section through busy breakfast service.
• Plan and manage preps across pastry and breakfast sections.
• Maintain high standards of flavour, presentation and food safety.
• Work with fresh local produce to showcase the South Coast offering.
• Support and mentor junior chefs in your section.
• Collaborate with hotel and Queen Chow kitchens to foster a positive culture.
