Job summary

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd. at Goodwood invites a Parts Quality Intern for a placement year. You will work with the Parts Quality team to assure the quality of all purchased parts across the product lifecycle, collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders from day one.

This placement requires automotive production experience, NVQ 3, MS Office skills, and project management experience. You will gain hands-on exposure to supplier qualification, process validation, and continuous

Qualifications

• Previous work experience in automotive production systems.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
• Understanding of MS Office and IT systems.
• Skills in Engineering and/or Business Management.
• Experience in project management.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Parts Quality concepts and supplier nomination.
• Ensure launch readiness at component level for current and new models.
• Support SE-Teams and suppliers during the industrialisation process.
• Validate supplier processes and parts through initial sampling.
• Contain non-conforming parts and manage corrective actions.
• Resolve parts quality issues with suppliers (incl. field issues).
• Manage supplier performance and implement improvements.
• Handle changes, relocations, and model run-out impacts.
• Tailor Parts Quality activities for bespoke features.
