Job summary

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, part of the BMW Group, invites a placement year intern to join the Goodwood team from July 2027. You will work on the assembly line, gaining hands-on experience while supporting quality, cost and time targets through problem solving and data analysis.

You will be studying Mechanical Engineering and be on track for a 2:2 or above, with strong communications and time management skills. A dynamic, learning-focused environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Studying a Bachelor’s or integrated Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant course.
• Ability to interpret data and provide evidence-based recommendations.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge is advantageous.
• Fluent English; German knowledge is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage specific production quality tasks and solve them through active problem solving.
• Analyse and implement improvements to overall production processes.
• Coordinate and steer senior production management circles on working and project levels.
• Collate data to support reporting and running of the Assembly Line.
• Review and deliver continuous improvement projects within the production environment.
