Job summary

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd. at Goodwood is offering a Quality Steering Engineering Placement Year. You will gain hands-on experience from day one, working on quality management systems and cross‑functional projects to support new model introductions and quality enhancements.

The role requires studying for a Bachelor’s or integrated Master’s in Engineering, achieving a 2:2 or higher, and you will be supported by mentors while receiving a competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Support, coordination and management of specific daily tasks and longer term projects.
• Supporting with the Plant problem management process and coordination of new model topics.
• Supporting the implementation of Quality related processes to ensure product improvement.
• Support, analysis and implementation of Quality improvements.
• Support with new vehicle inspection and defect reporting.
• Assisting with Warranty and data analysis.

Rolls‑Royce Motor Cars, Goodwood – Quality Steering Engineering Intern - Placement Year (July 2027)

Quality Steering is responsible for the implementation, governance and continuous improvement of the Rolls‑Royce Motor Cars Quality Management System. The team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of product and process quality across the business, while also supporting the successful introduction of new vehicle models and the delivery of quality enhancement initiatives. Working cross‑functionally with a wide range of stakeholders, Quality Steering drives excellence, promotes a culture of continuous improvement and helps ensure that every Rolls‑Royce Motor Car meets the exceptional standards expected by our customers.

What should you bring along?

• Studying a Bachelor’s or integrated Master’s degree and on track to achieve a 2:2 or above in a relevant Engineering course.
• Any knowledge in Quality Management or similar would be an advantage, however not a requirement.
• Able to work independently and within a team.
• Use initiative to take tasks and projects from concept through to a complete and implemented solution.
