Job summary

Daimler Trucks Somerton is seeking a skilled Parts Interpreter to join the team and support the workshop with accurate parts interpretation for light and heavy commercial vehicles. You’ll handle orders, coordinate deliveries with suppliers, and deliver friendly service both in person and over the phone.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a parts interpreter in automotive.
• Ability to interpret catalogues for light and heavy vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert parts advice to customers and workshop, in person and by phone.
• Accurately interpret manuals and catalogues to identify parts.
• Process orders, manage transactions, and coordinate deliveries with suppliers.
• Collaborate with a supportive team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Stay up to date with current parts inventory and product knowledge.

As the friendly and knowledgeable face of our Parts Department, you’ll be the go-to person for customers and internal teams, interpreting parts for light and heavy commercial vehicles, managing orders and transactions, and coordinating timely deliveries with suppliers.

About You

• Proven experience as a Parts Interpreter in the automotive industry
• Confident using catalogues and interpreting both light and heavy vehicle parts
• Experience with Japanese, American, or European trucks will be highly regarded
• A proactive communicator who enjoys teamwork and delivering outstanding service
