Cummins Inc in Carole Park, QLD is seeking a Parts Interpreter to assist customers, technicians and workshop staff with parts and supplies. You will manage stock, ensure parts are available and correctly stored, and support daily operations in a busy workshop environment.

The role emphasizes accurate ordering, customer service, and collaboration with service teams. A full-time, 38-hour week with overtime is available, and safety PPE and training are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience as a parts interpreter in automotive or similar industry.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Engine knowledge is advantageous.
• Ability to learn new software and processes.
• High attention to detail with prioritisation skills.
• Forklift ticket is desirable.
• Valid car driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers, technicians and parts personnel with parts and supply needs.
• Manage parts and supplies in stock, in store, and ready for use.
• Process and receive orders and quotes promptly.

• Handle counter duties, calls, greetings, and transactions.
• Organise and manage daily freight delivery.

Job description

We are looking for a talented Parts Interpreter to join our team in Carole Park, QLD. In this role, you will assist customers, technicians, and other parts personnel in securing needed parts and supplies. You will be responsible for managing the parts and supplies that come in and out of a workshop or warehouse. On a typical day, the job is to make sure the right parts are in stock, stored properly and ready when technicians or customers need them.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Act as the first contact for customers, addressing their needs and issues promptly

• Parts interpretation and the provision of required parts

• Processing and receiving orders and quotes in a timely manner

• Advise on part suitability and talk customers through the best solution for the job

• Carries out customer parts counter duties including receiving parts calls, greeting, and assisting walk-in customers, completing and processing paperwork and handling check, and credit card transactions

• Organise and manage daily freight delivery

• Work closely with office and service departments

• Accountability of all parts correctly counted in and out of the Lae branch

• Carry out quarterly & annual parts count

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Parts interpreter experience in an Automotive or similar industry

• Customer service and effective communication

• Engine knowledge is an advantage

• Ability to learn new software and processes

• High attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and troubleshot complex tasks

• Forklift ticket would be highly desirable

• Valid car drivers license is required
