Job summary

Tony White Group’s Coffs Harbour Toyota dealership in NSW seeks an Automotive Parts Interpreter who can identify and source parts, quote and process orders, and manage stock with customers and suppliers. The role focuses on accurate parts knowledge, strong communication, and efficient service in a busy dealership environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s licence is required.
• Forklift licence is desirable but not essential.
• Good computer skills and ability to learn systems.
• Strong interpersonal and professional communication.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in automotive parts interpreting or dealership operations is preferred but not essential.
• A positive attitude, team player, and customer service focus.
• Interest in automotive industry and commitment to service.

Responsibilities

• Identify and interpret automotive parts for retail, trade and internal customers.
• Prepare quotes, process orders and handle parts enquiries efficiently.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Receive, inspect, and organise incoming stock.
• Process invoices and coordinate deliveries.
• Maintain accurate stock records and inventory control.
• Use electronic parts catalogues and dealership systems to source parts.
• Assist with warehousing duties and general parts operations.
• Provide exceptional customer service and professional advice.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organised work environment.
• Collaborate with the team to support daily operations and goals.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As part of the Tony White Group, Coffs Harbour Toyota is a well-established dealership located in the beautiful coastal region of Coffs Harbour, NSW.

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and customer-focused Automotive Parts Interpreter to join our friendly and supportive team at Coffs Harbour Toyota.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurately identify and interpret automotive parts and accessories for retail, trade and internal customers
• Prepare quotes, process orders and manage parts enquiries efficiently
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
• Receive, inspect, unpack and organise incoming stock
• Process invoices and coordinate customer orders and deliveries
• Maintain accurate stock records and inventory control procedures
• Use electronic parts catalogues and dealership systems to identify and source parts
• Assist with warehousing duties and general parts department operations
• Provide exceptional customer service and professional advice
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
• Work collaboratively with the team to support daily operations and achieve department goals

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

• Current and valid driver's licence
• Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new systems
• Excellent interpersonal skills with confident and professional communication
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Previous experience in automotive parts interpreting or dealership parts operations (desirable but not essential)
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work effectively within a team
• A genuine interest in the automotive industry and a commitment to providing excellent customer service
