Job summary

HMPS in Export Park, SA, is seeking a motivated Parts Interpreter to join a small team. You will handle spare parts inquiries, provide timely quotes, and coordinate orders while maintaining accurate records.

You will monitor customer inquiries by phone and email, process orders, liaise with suppliers, and manage invoices and returns. The role requires independence, problem-solving, and teamwork with other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles, ideally in manufacturing or engineering.
• Forklift licence highly desirable.
• Strong data entry and record-keeping accuracy.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and promptly respond to phone and email inquiries from customers.
• Provide accurate quotes for spare parts and obtain customer purchase orders.
• Enter customer orders, raise delivery dockets, stock transfers, and invoices.
• Coordinate with suppliers to order parts for internal and customer orders and arrange collection if necessary.
• Generate spare parts invoices weekly and reconcile outstanding orders.
• Process warranty claims with suppliers and coordinate replacement parts delivery.

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Monitor and promptly respond to phone and email inquiries from customers

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment


• Forklift license is highly desirable


• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping


• Proficient computer skills and experience with inventory management systems


• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal


• Ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving while keeping the manager informed
