Job summary

Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is seeking a motivated Parts Interpreter in our Darwin branch. You will report to the Parts Manager and be responsible for interpreting customer requests, locating and supplying parts, and processing invoices while maintaining accurate records.

Ideal candidates have experience in a parts environment, strong mechanical understanding, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Parts environment
• A developed mechanical understanding
• High level of computer literacy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Forklift license (High Risk) not essential but preferable
• Excellent time management
• A keen eye for detail

Opportunity

An opportunity for a motivated and customer focused Parts Interpreter has become available in our Darwin Branch.

Reporting to the Parts Manager you will be responsible for:

• Providing service to external and internal customers for parts
• Interpreting customer’s request
• Identifying and supplying parts to meet customers request
• Sourcing parts as required
• Initiating invoices for parts
• Updating and maintain computer records
• Resolving invoice and purchase order discrepancies

While an understanding of earthmoving/construction equipment would be a distinct advantage, to be successful you will need:

• Previous experience in a Parts environment
• A developed mechanical understanding
• High level of computer literacy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Forklift license ( High Risk ) not essential but preferable
• Excellent time management
• A keen eye for detail

You will be an excellent communicator, team player, demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm and motivation in your work and have a focus on providing quality customer service.
